Youth Sports Program

Commerce PARD coordinates youth sports activities for boys and girls ages 4 – 15 in basketball, t-ball, baseball, softball, and soccer. Youth sports coaches are volunteers. All coaches and assistant coaches must sign a release for a background check. Individuals interested in coaching youth sports should contact the Parks & Recreation Office at (903) 886-1150.

Commerce Parks & Recreation is a proud partner of Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Texas, who serves with the City of Commerce to offer recreational programs to Commerce youth.

Youth Sport Activities

Basketball
Youth basketball is offered during the fall and winter months. Registration usually begins in November and is open to boys and girls ages 5 years through 6th grade. The regular season will be begin in January and end in February.

The City of Commerce participates in the Tri County Youth Basketball League.

Baseball/Softball/T-Ball
Youth baseball/softball/t-ball is offered during the spring and summer months. Registration will take place during the months of January and February and is open to boys and girls ages 3 years through 14 years (15 for girls). Games normally begin the end of March or the first of April.

Soccer
Youth soccer is offered during the fall months and is open to boys and girls ages 5 years through 14 years. Coed Divisions: Under 6, Under 8, Under 10, Under 12, and Under 14. Registration begins August 1 and will end on August 29. The season will be played during September through October.

Costs
Basketball and Soccer – $65.00 for children living inside or outside the Commerce City Limits. Baseball, Softball, and T-Ball is $65.00 for children living inside or outside the Commerce City Limits. Late registration fees of $5.00 may be added.
